Stephen Sadley has been the Chief Executive of the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA) since 2008, following joining ARCA in 2000 as Business Development Manager before becoming the General Manager. He has spent his entire career in the asbestos management industry, in various roles. As CE of ARCA, he also is a member of The Asbestos Liaison Group (ALG) and has played a significant part in setting up the Asbestos Removal Management Institute (ARMI). With a BA in Business Management and a BSc in Environmental Science, he is also a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
Stephen will give the Keynote Speech and explain how a trade association in the asbestos removal industry can be pro-active in developing tools for and drive professionalism throughout the industry; providing the best support to assist members in good practice and end-clients in the safe management of asbestos. He will cover some of the elements on how this can be achieved, including the development of industry qualifications, auditing removal work and guidance.
