Jody Schinkel works as a senior exposure scientist at TNO. During his thesis, he developed and validated the generic exposure models Stoffenmanager and Advanched Reach Tool (ART). In the past five years, he has coordinated the asbestos projects that are carried out within TNO. Mostly, these projects focus on measuring and controlling exposures levels during the removal of asbestos-containing materials.
In his presentation, Jody will explain his concerns on both the over- and under exaggeration of asbestos dangers. Also, why he is an advocate of what is called ‘differentiation’ of asbestos risk classes according to the health dangers to the asbestos removal workers and the immediate surroundings.
