Colette Willoughby’s career in the asbestos industry began in 1982: she has experience in all aspects of asbestos control, management, training and legal compliance, in addition to providing expert witness advice for both civil litigation and criminal prosecutions. Colette is also the Managing Director of Asbestos Compliance Limited (ACL).
Over the years, Colette has actively contributed to the asbestos industry and continues to do so. Colette has held many roles and positions including: Principal Examiner (Asbestos) for BOHS, Member of the Management Committee of BOHS’ Faculty of Asbestos Assessment and Management (FAAM), Technical Assessor for the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), Chair Person of the National Organisation of Asbestos Consultants (NORAC) plus Member of the Female Analysts Working Group.
Colette has a difficult but important presentation to share, one that takes great personal courage and altruism for the improvement of the asbestos sector. She will be speaking on the issues faced by female professionals in the asbestos sector, such as their personal safety and legal protection.
